On Monday 7th November, the Nicola Radford Memorial Scholarship was officially launched in DCU.

Nicola was a key figure in the North Dublin Chamber and a fantastic supporter and mentor to many in the business community.  She offered words of wisdom and encouragement to everyone she met and was always interested in supporting others.

With that in mind, we wanted to do something in her name and from the many discussions at our council meetings we felt that it would be fitting to name a scholarship after her which would support a student through a communications degree in DCU.  The scholarship was established to honour her immense legacy. The benefactors for the four year scholarship are all friends & colleagues of Nicola’s from the North Dublin Chamber and it was great to see so many in attendance at the Memorial Scholarship Reception.

The scholarship recipient was Rachel Paige, a 1st Year student completing a communications degree in DCUBS.  The award was presented jointly to Rachel by the President of DCU, Brian MacCraith and Ms. Mary Shine Thompson, a trustee with the DCU Educational Trust.
