Dublin Airport Authority hosted the latest North Dublin Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Briefing on Thursday, 10 September. The event was well attended by Chamber members with almost 50 guests attending to hear an update on developments at DAA from Deputy Chief Executive, Oliver Cussen.  

Mr Cussen outlined to members the range of business challenges currently facing the DAA, principally due to a 13% reduction in passenger numbers this year. He reaffirmed the cost-saving measures the DAA was implementing on both the capital and operational side of the business to address this situation and urged members to support an appropriate increase in airport charges when the Aviation Regulator decides on this issue this autumn. Mr Cussen also confirmed that Dublin Airport’s new passenger terminal, T2 was approximately 75% complete and was on schedule for operation in November 2010. Following the briefing the group enjoyed an escorted tour of T2.
